Abstract (EN): We have studied the effect of gamma radiation on Long Period Fiber Grating (LPFG) temperature sensors fabricated in a pure-silica fiber, using the arc discharge technique. The temperature sensitivity of the LPFGs remains unchanged by the irradiation.
