Resumo (PT):
We describe a methodology to define the structural and dynamic conceptual model of an information system.
This methodology is based on a semantic modeling technique and structured analysis. A Conceptual Model is constructed with the support of a specification target document (STD). The format of this document is suitable for storage using a commercial Relational Data Base Management System, so up-to-date versions of the specification can be easily maintained. The relational schema can directly be generated from the STD.
Two practical cases support the application of this methodology.
Abstract (EN):
We describe a methodology to define the structural and dynamic conceptual model of an information system.
This methodology is based on a semantic modeling technique and structured analysis. A Conceptual Model is constructed with the support of a specification target document (STD). The format of this document is suitable for storage using a commercial Relational Data Base Management System, so up-to-date versions of the specification can be easily maintained. The relational schema can directly be generated from the STD.
Two practical cases support the application of this methodology.
