Abstract (EN):
This Paper describes the use of the Semiloof thin shell elemenet in dynamic transient situations where nonlinear material behaviour and/or large displacement effects are present. Time-rate effects are introduced into the plastic response of the material by employing the theory of elasto-viscoplasticity in place of the conventional laws of plasticity. The yield conditions are expressed in terms of the usual non-dimensional stress resultants of shel theory and for representation of geometric nonlinear effects both Lagrangian and an updating formulation are considered.
