Resumo (PT): The objective of this paper is the study of the seismic behaviour of reinforced concrete buildings exhibiting vertical irregularities, with the purpose of defining and quantifying behaviour coefficients are also to verify the irregularity criteria of Eurcode 8 applicable to the design of reinforced concrete building structures. This study considered three groups or buildings (4, 8 and 20 storeys) in order to assess the variation of the behaviour coefficient with the building frequencies which were selected to fall in the three branches of the response spectrum.
