Abstract (EN): A short review of magnetic separation methods sharing some sort of similarities with the new magnetic separator and classifier developed is presented. A short review of the magnetic separation methods inherently exhibiting some sort of magnetic classification process is presented. The main innovation features of the new magnetic separator and classifier developed are described, mainly the ability to provide a differential magnetic classification of the magnetic particles, which is shown to be a novel process by itself.
