Abstract (EN):
Oromandibular dystonia (OMD) is a rare neurological condition infrequently seen by Oral and maxillofacial surgeons which may result in inappropriate deviation of the mandible, subluxation and intraoral soft tissue trauma. A case is presented Of a patient Suffering from spasmodic torticollis and lateral pterygoid dystonia and currently Under treatment with botulinum A toxin (Botox) injections. Botox has emerged as the most effective form of symptomatic treatment for abnormabilities ill muscle movement. namely dystonia with oromandibular symptoms.
