Abstract (EN):
A long exposition to weathering (mainly due to the ultraviolet radiation) may cause undesirable changes on the physical, chemical, mechanical and hydraulic properties of the geotextiles. In this paper, three nonwoven needle-punched polypropylene geotextiles (stabilised with different amounts of Chimassorb 944) were exposed to natural weathering in Portugal during 24 months. The hydraulic properties of the geotextiles (water permeability normal to the plane) were monitored during the 24 months of natural weathering.
