Abstract (EN): Digital Twin is an ambiguous concept that is often misinterpreted and/or misapplied. It is a concept that can bring integrated value across the value chain and therefore needs focus and clarity. The paper presents a framework developed to assist Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Operators and Owners (AECOO) practitioners to determine the purpose and requirements for construction Digital Twins. This development has its roots on ongoing research performed within the GrowingCircle project scope, following a combination of engagement with practitioners, researchers and expert interviews. The developed framework is utilised to support three real situation use cases. The objective is to evidence the adjustment and explain the approach for solutions to be adopted/implemented. With this practical framework it is meant to support clarity regarding construction Digital Twins as well as provide tools for practitioners to set their requirements determining potential suitable solutions. © 2023 the Author(s).
