Abstract (EN): The purpose of this paper is to present a numerical simulation system for blood flow in the carotid artery bifurcation and its validation using experimental data collected in clinical practice. Blood flow is described by the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations and the simulation is carried out under pulsatile conditions using inlet velocities given by a flow wave form obtained by ultrasound measurements.
