Abstract (EN):
Four activated sludge technologies were studied for pentachlorophenol removal from industrial wastewater and from groundwater. In parallel with the technological parameters, profound microbiological control was accomplished. The results show that combination of anaerobic and aerobic conditions as well as suitable adaptation procedure are the two prerequisites for the achievement of complete PCP removal. Two of the four investigated technologies proved to be ready for practical application.
