Abstract (EN):
In this work, the dynamic effects resulting from the passage of railway traffic are evaluated on the Alcacer do Sal bridge of the Southern Line of the Portuguese Railways. The dynamic analyses were performed for the passage of the high speed "Alfa Pendular" tilting train and for other trains, currently in use in the European high speed railway network. The analyses were preceded by a study on the sensitivity of the structural response, for two methods available for dynamic analyses, the Newmark method and the method of modal superposition. The responses were assessed, based on the safety criteria established in the EN1991-2 and EN1990-prAnnexA2.
