Resumo (PT): A pesquisa científica e a prática profissional têm vindo a demonstrar que as diferentes formas de expressão artística (música, teatro, dança etc.) revelam-se instrumentos especialmente eficazes no que diz respeito à intervenção social, seja na prevenção, reabilitação e tratamento de pessoas que apresentam problemas psicossociais, seja no seu potencial para capacitar e fortalecer o desenvolvimento social e pessoal de indivíduos numa comunidade. Por esse motivo, formar interventores sociais com recurso à arte torna-se, na nossa perspetiva, uma condição imperativa. Neste trabalho dá-se a conhecer os dados para Portugal do projeto “El Uso del Arte en la Formación y en la Intervención del Trabajo Social: Estudio Comparado entre España y Portugal” (INATS). Recorrendo à pesquisa documental, analisaram-se os planos de estudos das licenciaturas em Serviço Social em Portugal, lecionadas em 16 escolas públicas e privadas. Do trabalho de análise dos planos de estudo pode concluir-se que a Arte ainda está muito pouco presente nesta formação.

Abstract (EN): Scientific research and professional practice have shown that the different forms of artistic expression (music, theatre, dance, etc.) are particularly effective instruments for social intervention, whether in the prevention, rehabilitation and treatment of people with psychosocial problems, or in their potential to empower and strengthen the social and personal development of individuals in a community. For this reason, training social interventionists using art becomes, in our perspective, an imperative condition. This paper presents the data for Portugal from the project "El Uso del Arte en la Formación y en la Intervención del Trabajo Social: Estudio Comparado entre España y Portugal" (INATS). Using documentary research, the syllabuses of undergraduate degrees in Social Work in Portugal, taught in 16 public and public schools, were analysed. From the analysis of the syllabuses it can be concluded that Art is still very little present in this training.
