Abstract (EN): Using a two-beam configuration, we perform degenerate four-wave mixing experiments in CuCl. On the contrary to nanosecond pulsed excitations, we find under picosecond excitation conditions that the shape of the excitation spectrum of the generated signal strongly depends on the intensity and on the time delay between the two pulses. This behaviour is tentatively explained by the different scattering processes which contribute to the generation of the signal: induced biexciton decay and scattering from the light-induced grating. © 1990.
