Abstract (EN): The presented work is a study of acoustic microagitation, based on piezoelectric transducers, for being applied in microfluidic devices to promote mixing. The study comprises an experimental verification, by microscopy, of this phenomenon. It can be observed that the excitation of the PZT and beta-PVDF piezoelectric transducers generates the fluid movement and creates patterns of recirculation, accelerating the mixing of fluids.
