Abstract (EN): Selective desensitization of bladder C-fibres by intravesical resiniferatoxin was used to treat patients with refractory idiopathic detrusor instability. A positive effect was observed in urinary frequency, incontinence and urodynamic parameters. It is concluded that desensitization might be an alternative to the antimuscarinic therapy usually offered to these patients.
