Abstract (EN):
The aim of this study was the cultural and linguistic adaptation and validation of the long version of Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire II (COPSOQ II) in Portuguese. The original version of the instrument has been translated and adapted in a Portuguese sample of 239 workers belonging to various professional sectors. This study adopted a methodology based on the COSMIN (COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health/Measurement INstruments) recommendations designed to study the psychometric properties of instruments. The questionnaire revealed good internal consistency for the total scale, with values of coefficient alpha test (alpha = 0.903) and retest (alpha = 0.917) reliability. The item-total correlations were estimated, and the items tend to present moderate to strong correlations with the total scale. The two weeks test-retest reliability of the Portuguese long version of COPSOQ II as measured by the intraclass correlation coefficient was ranged from 0.832 e 0.852 for all the dimensions. The Portuguese long version of the COPSOQ II seems to offer the necessary validity for use by researchers and practitioners interested in assessing the psychosocial work environment.
