Abstract (EN): The article reflects on the work of symbolic violence contained in the new "guides to etiquette" for cultural audiences/"publics", as codes of conduct that more or less covertly impose positions that are presented as socially legitimate and hegemonic. This is in spite of the fact that they represent a contingent and historic product of particular and institutionally localized symbolic universes that define the change from lay status to that of a member of a particular public. Notes on the suffering and happiness of the "new publics".
