Resumo (PT): Neste artigo discutimos a desigualdade de gênero no rock através do caso do Girls Rock Camp (e seu antecedente Riot Grrrl) como palco de renegociação dessa identidade. Situando-nos no Girls Rock Camp POA, e através de uma metodologia de pendor qualitativo, procuramos: a) verificar seu histórico, os atores envolvidos e as estratégias de articulação, produção e divulgação; b) avaliar o perfil dos participantes e suas principais motivações e representações; c) investigar o uso do ethos Do-It-Yourself (DIY) e mediações tecnológicas na transmissão de conhecimento e práxis musical; e d) averiguar a relação da participação neste campo com a reconstrução fortalecida de uma identidade feminina alicerçada no rock.

Abstract (EN): In this article we discuss gender inequalities in rock through the case of Girls Rock Camp (and their predecessor Riot Grrrl) as a stage of renegotiation of that identity. We address ourselves to Girls Rock Camp Porto Alegre, and through a methodology of qualitative inclination, we seek a) to verify the history, actors involved and strategies of articulation, production and dissemination of this Girls Rock Camp; b) evaluate the participants profile and their main motivations and representations; c) investigate the use of the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) and technological mediations in the transmission of musical knowledge and praxis; and d) investigate the relationship between participation in this field and the strengthened reconstruction of a female identity grounded in rock.
