Abstract (EN): This paper presents a case study of a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) wind turbine in operation subject to balanced and unbalanced grid voltage conditions. Three scenarios are addressed: balanced grid, symmetrical and asymmetrical voltage dips. We describe the DFIG model and the control strategies adopted to stabilize the system during voltage faults, in order to protect the converters. Several simulation experiments are presented to illustrate the performance and effectiveness of the described control strategies. Copyright (C) 2020 The Authors.
