Abstract (EN): An analytical method is described for determining nine fungicide residues in grapes, using solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection (GC-MS). The proposed method is compared with another one based on methanol extraction followed by solid phase extraction (SPE) and liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC-DAD). SPME experimental conditions were validated using spiked samples of different grape varieties. Good linearity was observed, in a concentration range between 10 - 100 mug/kg of grape, for most of the compounds, with minimum matrix effect detected. Limits of quantification in the full scan MS are 9.7 mug/kg of grape, on average, with exception of azoxystrobin (32.1 mug/kg) and are considerably below the maximum residue levels set for grapes, with a precision ranging from 4.0 to 11.5 as RSD (%). While the most polar pesticides could only be analysed by SPE/HPLC-DAD, differences on other pesticides concentrations in grapes, were found between the two methods.
