Abstract (EN): The aim of this contribution is to provide a brief review of the latest developments in the area of 3D Linear-Elastic Fracture Mechanics. The primary focus of this contribution is on the situations where the classical results, which are normally obtained within the framework of plane theory of elasticity, lead to peculiar results. These situations include analysis of stress and displacement fields near vertex points, generation of the coupled fracture mode under shear loading, application of Williams series expansion to 3D problems as well as fracture scaling.
