Abstract (EN):
The paper focuses on the dynamic behaviour of cable-supported structures. Structural aspects, as cable-structure interaction, cable vibrations and non-linearity arising from very low tensioned cables are described and investigated on the basis of experimental testing. Particular instrumentation problems and aspects related with the observation and identification of modal properties and cable forces are discussed, based on three different cable structures: a cable-stayed bridge, a cable suspended roof and a guyed mast.
