Abstract (EN): In this study, there was a new setting in the dimensions and position of the crack in the specimen to perform the bending test of three points the objective of producing specimens with lower costs. The results of mechanical testing were compared and validated by the Finite Element Method (FEM). Numerical results and mode of fracture were similar in both methodologies employed, which shows the validity of this test. After the rupture area of the fracture was analyzed with the aid of a scanning electron microscope in order to identify the path of the crack opening. The tests allowed to obtain the value of fracture toughness of the interfaces of restorations. As for crack propagation that spread toward the veneering ceramic in all samples.
