Abstract (EN): The geometrical non-linear vibration of an aluminium beam clamped at both ends, is experimentally investigated with the goal of verifying the occurrence of internal resonances. The beam is excited transversely with a harmonic excitation and the deflection of the first and higher harmonics analysed in order to detect the mode shapes involved. 1:3 and 1:5 internal resonances between the first and higher order modes and between the second and higher order modes are found.
