Abstract (EN):
Based on a corpus of 15 issues of 3 Portuguese magazines from the historicalperiod of the dictatorship in Portugal, the Estado Novo (Mundo Gráfico, Boletimda Mocidade Portuguesa Feminina and Portugal Colonial), this text studies theconstruction of an authoritarian discourse and of an authority discourse. Theanalysis takes into account linguistic-discursive elements, but also the relationof the texts with the historical context and with the specific characteristics ofeach of the magazines, with similar objectives but different target audiences.Authority discourse is not built in the same way in the three journals
