Abstract (EN): This paper addresses basic concepts regarding the wind effects on a lattice wind tower with 150 m of height and the subsequent wind responses. The methodology presented for simulating series of natural wind is the method of Shinozuka. A simplified method for quantifying the dynamic action on these structures is adopted, with the purpose of studying techniques for vibration control of the along-wind response in terms of displacements and accelerations. It was also accomplished a comparative study of response of lattice wind tower when subjected to natural winds without and with a TMD.
