Abstract (EN): This paper exposes the results of a comparative experimental-theoretical study on the strength and performance of axially loaded concrete filled tubular steel columns. The theoretical-experimental comparisons were done either with estimates obtained using a non-linear geometric elastic analysis or using a modified Merchant-Rankine interaction diagram.
