Abstract (EN):
In many cases the reinforced concrete plates are weakened by providing cut-outs for building services or specific installations. These cut-outs can be practice in certain circumstances after the entire construction is finished. To restore the load barring capacity of the reinforced concrete plate after the cut-out is realized it must be strengthened. One of the recommended solutions is to use a network of carbon fibre reinforced polymer plates or strips attached with adhesive to the tensioned side of the plate. This solution must be checked analytically, by numerical analysis and experimentally. The numerical modelling is a powerful tool which enables not only evaluation of the load barring capacity but also an economical setup for the experimental program. The objectives of this paper respond to the main above ideas by performing a preliminary numerical modelling using the software package ANSYS.
