Abstract (EN): In this work a previously developed die design code is used to optimise the flow distribution of a profile extrusion, using two alternative strategies. The numerical predictions are compared with experimental data gathered during extrusion experiments, the results of which are used to assess the theological code and the effectiveness of the optimisation algorithm and design strategies implemented.
