Resumo (PT): Este artigo visa contribuir para a compreensão da emergência da cultura jovem em Portugal e no Brasil no que significa ser jovem do género feminino. Apesar da presença de mulheres desde o início do punk e da ínsita pretensão de igualdade de género, o que se destaca é a existência de uma persistente negação de papéis às mulheres principais nas cenas locais. Esta `falta de mulheres¿ no punk foi/é sentida como um ultraje e um grande exemplo de hegemonia masculina na história da cultura popular e nas culturas juvenis contemporâneas. Assim, este artigo reflete a análise de narrativas de mulheres no punk português e brasileiro: 10 narrativas de mulheres que, devido à sua condição etária, viveram o início precoce do punk em Portugal (fins dos anos 1970 e início dos 1980) e de 10 mulheres que participaram e continuam no movimento riot grrrl no Brasil (1995-2016).

Abstract (EN): This article aims to contribute to the understanding of young culture emergence in Portugal and Brazil in what it means to be young from a feminine gender. Despite the presence of women since the beginning of punk and the pretension of gender equality, what stands out is the existence of a persistent denial of main roles in the scenes. This `lack of women¿ in punk was / is felt as an outrage and a great example of male hegemony in the history of popular culture and youth cultures. Thus, this article reflects the analysis of narratives of women in Portuguese and Brazilian punk: 10 narratives of women who, due to their age, lived the early beginning of punk in Portugal (late 1970s and early 1980s) and 10 Women who participated and continue in the riot grrrl movement in Brazil (1995-2016).
