Abstract (EN):
The present work addresses the development of a new skinfold calliper with increased opening range and applying near constant pressure to the skinfold due to the lower force variation in all operating range. This was achieved by means of an appropriated geometry, together with a constant force actuator and a compensation cam. Comparison with other commercial available skinfold callipers is presented.
