Abstract (EN):
Remote Lab experiments are commonly used among universities and companies to provide access to setups that otherwise would not be available. In this paper different analytical and numerical procedures were used to extend the applications of a current remote system. The results are then compared with the experimental data obtained from the remote experiment, available in http://elabs.fe.up.pt. The experimental setup is naturally limited to elastic tests of a single material and beam, while in simulation there are no boundaries, wether in terms of load (including plastic permanent deformation) or material dimensions and characteristics. © 2014 IEEE.
