Abstract (EN): Dynamic resource management is generating growing interest as a way to simplify systems deployment, react to changing operational conditions and improve efficiency in using system resources. Buttazzo et al proposed the elastic task model (ETM) that dynamically moves the tasks instantiation period around a nominal value, increasing or decreasing the bandwidth that each task uses from the resource. However such computation requires a number of iteration steps. This paper identifies the QoS-based resource distribution problem and proposes a generic framework that encompasses the ETM. An algorithm is presented for the resource distribution that computes the results in minimum time, outperforming the original ETM scheme in terms of computational complexity.
