Abstract (EN):
The flexible time-triggered communication on Controller Area Network (FTT-CAN) protocol is proposed to overcome inflexible handling of time-triggered traffic in distributed computer-control systems. It combines both time- and event-triggered paradigms in an efficient way, taking advantage of the underlying medium-access control of CAN. The main feature of the protocol supports online changes to time-triggered communication requirements.
