Abstract (EN): In this paper, an application concerning the stress intensity factor determination with the weight function method is presented. The procedure involves finite element determination of the crack face displacements and polynomial fitting of these results, in order to obtain a general relation of the crack opening. The application is a radially cracked hollow disk, having an internal radial crack and subjected to different loadings. The obtained results were compared with those obtained by Sha and Yang with a different approach of the weight function method.
