Abstract (EN): Spermatogenesis of the starfish Marthasterias glacialis was studied by electron microscopy with the application of the silver nitrate method. In the nucleus, silver stained the nucleolus and specific regions at the periphery of chromatin. In the cytoplasm, silver deposits appear as argyrophilic bodies, on midpiece and tail structures, and on the dense materials which line the intercellular bridges and the inner acrosomal vesicle membrane. © 1989 Balaban.
