Abstract (EN): Stability conditions for a scalar field coupled non-minimally with gravity via a term g(¿) R are obtained. The case g(¿) = 1 2¿¿2 is studied for a potential V(¿) = ¿¿+ 1 2m2¿2+ß¿3+ 1 4¿¿4-¿ resulting in constraints for the various parameters of the potential such that the origin ¿=0 otherwise unstable can be stabilised. © 1987.
