Abstract (EN): The isotopic study of galena from ore veins, cutting crystalline rocks from Paleozoic basement from Portugal and Morocco, and stratiform deposits from Lower Jurassic carbonate platform from Morocco, was performed in order to characterize the source of Pb present in Pb-Zn deposits of different types and different ages. The results reveal identical origins for Pb, pointing to a mixing of different sources, namely: leaching of rocks forming the upper crust and rocks worked by several orogenic cycles. © 2014, LNEG ¿ Laboratório Nacional de Geologia e Energia IP.
