Abstract (EN):
The aim of this work is to address the problem of remediation of soils contaminated
with pesticides by using an innovative technique that is friendlier to the environment,
and which maintains the soil structure. This technique consists on the application of
supercritical extraction (SCE) with carbon dioxide coupled with ultrasound. This
innovative method has the advantage of allowing the use of solvents such as CO2,
and avoiding the need for organic co-solvents, which is an important drawback to the
application of SCE to soil remediation.
The obtained recovery for atrazine is higher than the corresponding values for
supercritical extraction with CO2, and similar to the recoveries obtained when organic
cosolvents are used.
