CYCLE OF STUDIES ACCORDING TO BOLOGNA PRINCIPLES The creation of 2nd cycle of studies leading to a master degree in Law from the Law Faculty of the University of Porto was approved by the Senate of the University of Porto on 25 October 2006 (Deliberação nº. 699/2007, D.R. II Série nº 76 de 18 de abril de 2007), having been registered with nº R/B-Cr 331/2007. It was subsequently approved an amendment to the curricular structure of this cycle of studies by Despacho Reitoral de 9 de Fevereiro de 2012, published by Despacho n. 3023-2012, DR II Série, n.º 43, de 29 de Fevereiro and rectified by Declaração de retificação n.º 1579/2012. D.R. n.º 238, Série II de 2012-12-10.


Objectives

a) Obtain the degree of Master, through specialized training that will result in an autonomous scientific research to be conducted in each branch available and will allow the student enrichment curriculum required to enroll in academic and legal professions; b) To enhance previously acquired skills in the first study cycle in order to update the knowledge in an area where there are constantly important changes; c) Provide and deepen the student capacity for analysis and critical thinking, essential to the activity of research and innovation, encouraging the application of knowledge to practical situations.
