Acess Requirements - To have successfully concluded the 12th form and to have completed the national specific examinations: Portuguese and History)

Profissional status -According to the rules enforced: Advocacy, ruled by Bar Association, Registers and Notary, Judgeship ruled by Centro de Estudos Judiciários, Diplomacy ( ruled by Ministry for Foreign Affairs necessary), Criminal Investigation Department, Public Administration Advanced Technician, Jurisconsult, University Career.

Program Requirements - The curricular plan of the degree in Law covers the strategic areas considered fundamental to train qualified professionals for the exercise of de many legal professions. The study consists of a total of 40 courses. It is compilsory to attend to 37 of those couses and three semestrial and optional. The teaching is ministered in 3 theoretical and 2 practical classes por week, by each course. Evaluation system: evaluation is made, according with the studentes option, by a final exame, or continuous assessment calculated with final exam. There are 2 final written exam seasons: normal season and appeal season. Improvement of classifications is available through oral examinations.

Acess to further study -The first degree gives access to postgraduate courses, namely to the postgraduate course in Local Autarchies Law and the postgraduate course in Tax Law available at FDUP, having both courses the duration of a year divided in two semesters. The first degree, also gives access to Master courses ano PhD courses, acording to the rules enforced.
