Objectives
To prepare the students for the investigation and writing of a monographic study, in the context of the legal-criminal sciences. Students are expected to acquire skills in bibliographical research, treatment and reference of sources, delimitation and identification of an object of study, critical analysis and scientific writing skills.
Learning outcomes and competences
Obtaining skills for the development of scientific research and presentation of a structured and original research work in the legal-criminal area.

I. Research methods: choice of the research topic, object delimitation, research and selection of sources, scientific writing techniques.II. Legal workshop: standardized methods of citing and drawing up a general bibliographic list, techniques for correcting "proofs".III. Elaboration of a research work: tutorial teaching sessions and critical discussion.

The bibliography will be indicated according to the concrete subject chosen by the masters for their research work.
Teaching methods and learning activities
The first sessions are intended to enlighten students about scientific research techniques and legal workshop.The remaining sessions will be tutored in order to follow up the research work of the masters students and clarify the doubts placed.

Eligibility for exams
Oral presentation and discussion of research project proposal. Approval on a written research paper.
Calculation formula of final grade
The final grade corresponds to the weighted average of the classifications attributed to the oral presentation (25%) and to the written paper (75%).
