The students are wellcome to consolidate their knowledge in an introduction to a research based on their personal work.
Students will acquire skills to draft a monographic study in the context of private legal sciences.
Students will be divided in two classes.
The proposed themes will be revealed in due time and will range from Private Autonomy and Civil Liability to comercial law, Contracts and Consumer, Medical Law, Labor Law in a comunitarian perspective, New Dimensions of the protection of persons in civil law and in labour law, to Family and Succession Relationships - national and international aspects.
Students will be introduced to the faculty's library and its bibliography, electronic resources and also to investigation preliminary technics.
Then, several tutorial classes will guide students through the investigation process. Finally, students will present their works to the class and will respond to the class questions and critics.

Grades will reflect each student performance during tutorial classes, written papers, and during class presentations and cross-examinations of their fellow students work.
Students cannot be absent more than 25% of the classes, according to the rules enforced in the Faculty (article 4, nº 1 of the "Regulamento de avaliação de conhecimentos de 2.º ciclo em Direito")
Students will be asked to pursue one small investigation project oriented to class presentations purposes. They will also asked to act as cross-examiners to their fellows presentations within a different area of research (within the class they belong to).
