Learning outcomes and competences
Evidence of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit’s intended learning outcomes:
Mindful of the objectives, the syllabus is adequate to provide students with a broad and complete overview of criminological landscape and notions of security and insecurity, allowing the understanding of the concept of security and prevention. They should also be able to identify and distinguish the triggering mechanisms of violence, fear, security, power and control, and be able to understand the dynamic mechanisms of power and control construction upon the security policies and its application to transform reality.
