Objectives Getting Acquainted/Respond to qualitative and quantitative questions that are technically/ experimentally relevant in materials sciences Performing design and planning experiments. Knowing to conduct literature searches, including critical analysis of technical articles, and oral and written communication. Effective management of team work. Development of mini-projects with well-defined themes
Major competences • ability to design, conduct experiments, analysis and critical interpretation of data • ability to work in multidisciplinary teams • ability to identifyto formulate and solve problems in Materials Science • abilities for designing processes and / or systems to achieve specific specifications • ability to use techniques and advanced research tools • presentation and communication skills • knowledge of contemporary issues in physics and engineering of materials.
Apply knowledge of mathematics, science and materials engineering in experimental environment
Design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret critical data
Working in multidisciplinary teams
Identifying, formulating and solving materials engineering problems
Identifying processes and / or systems materials capable of achieving specifications
Ability to use modern techniques and tools for Physics and Engineering
Presentation and communication skills
The program consists of a set of experiments related to material sciences.
Assignments to be defined in light of the students enrolled.
The course is taught in the form of laboratory practical classes, where the proposed works are carried out. Given the Laboratory character of the course is important to the later contact of students with teachers as much as possible in laboratory where the works are carried out.
