Program

The program consists of a set of experiments related to material sciences.

Assignments to be defined in light of the students enrolled.

Mandatory literature

Diversos; Textos diversos fornecidos pelos docentes

Teaching methods and learning activities

The course is taught in the form of laboratory practical classes, where the proposed works are carried out. Given the Laboratory character of the course is important to the later contact of students with teachers as much as possible in laboratory where the works are carried out.

Evaluation Type

Distributed evaluation with final exam

Assessment Components

designation Weight (%)
Participação presencial 10,00
Teste 30,00
Trabalho escrito 30,00
Apresentação/discussão de um trabalho científico 30,00
Total: 100,00

Amount of time allocated to each course unit

designation Time (hours)
Estudo autónomo 106,00
Frequência das aulas 56,00
Total: 162,00

Eligibility for exams

notebook and the presence of at least 3 / 4 lessons envisaged.

Calculation formula of final grade

The assessment consists of four distinct components: -Class evaluation (20%) with the following componentes (Continuous evaluation (10%) and logbook (10%)), written examination (30%) -individual report (25%) -oral presentation of work done (25%)

A minimum grade of 7,0/20 in written examination is mandatory.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

As components for assessment require the completion of laboratory work, it is recommended that all students in this situation contact the lecturer to enable the realization of the practical component in a more flexible schedule according to staff availability.

Classification improvement

Due to the continuous evaluation of this course, the improvement can only be carried out in the written examination component.
