Abstract (EN): Regenerative periodontal therapy aims to predictably restore the tooth'ssupporting periodontal tissues and should result in the formation of a new connectivetissue attachment (i.e. new cementum with inserting periodontal ligament fibres) andnew alveolar bone. This chapter aims to address the clinical application of bone graftson periodontal regenerative approaches, with given relevance to the use of calciumphosphate ceramics. Furthermore, a clinical case is presented in which the regenerativecapability of a glass-reinforced hydroxyapatite (Bonelike®) is thoroughly evaluated byclinical and tomographic measurements in the healing of a periodontal intrabony defect.
