Mobility INcoming Students / Internships
Deadlines
- Applications for Mobility: Annual, 1st Semester or Other periods: usually between 1 April and 21 May.
- Applications for Mobility: 2nd Semester or Other periods: usually between 1 September and 15 October.
How to apply
- Students must contact the person responsible for the research centre/area and submit the internship proposal, including their CV, a proposed work programme to be developed during the internship period, and include the dates for the internship.
- The students may also request that FCUP's International Office contacts the person responsible for the research centre/area and submit the internship proposal, including their CV, a proposed work programme to be developed during the internship period, and include the dates for the internship.
- For the accepted proposals, the authorization must be sent to the FCUP's International Office, so that the proposal may follow the necessary procedures for the preparation and completion of the internship
How to apply
- Submit an application (the work plan must be attached) which will be analysed by FCUP's International Office and sent to the regents and/or Course Directors/Responsible parties for acceptance.
- Once the application is accepted, it is validated by FCUP's international Office, and later by the central office (SRIUP). The student will receive a Letter of Acceptance by U. Porto (Click on the link for UP registration and student card).
Before arrival at FCUP-Flash Meeting online
Upon arrival at FCUP-registration at FCUP
- Welcome Session (Presentation and campus visit)
- Upon arrival in the city of Porto, the student must go to FCUP's International Office, at a previously scheduled time and date.
- At this time, registration at FCUP is carried out, the student receives all the information concerning the faculty and how it operates, the password to access the institutional email / wireless network / SIGARRA, school insurance, statement of arrival, FCUP campus.
Return to Home University
- Before returning to the Home University, the student must inform FCUP's International Office of the return date.
- Request the signature on the departure statement.
- Check that everything is in compliance with the SIGARRA academic path.
- The student must request an evaluation statement from the internship supervisor.
- After all the results of the curricular units attended are posted in SIGARRA, the FCUP's International Office (NI) issues the Transcript of Records (Grades Certificate) and sends a digital copy by email to the student and to the Home University.
