Certificate requests are submitted online. You should log in
https://sigarra.up.pt/fcup and follow these steps (images below):
- Click in your name
- Open your academic path by clicking in the magnifying glass
- On the right side options menu, click in “Certificados”
- On the right side options menu, click in “Novo Pedido”
- Choose the type of certificate you want and follow the on-screen instructions until submission of the request.
If the requested certificate is not for one of the free purposes listed during the request, a fee will be generated in your account (Conta Corrente).
Only after the payment, which must be done in a maximum of 10 days after the request, will the system allow the Services to issue the certificate.
You may always check the status of the emission by accessing point 3 on the steps above.
Also, the system won’t allow students to request any certificate if they are in debt of the tuition fee at
the moment of the request (exceptions apply for scholarship students).
Please be aware that a “Certidão de matrícula” only referes to the first year of registration. If you want a certificate stating that you are registered,
it’s preferable to choose a “Certidão de inscrição em ano letivo” since it will state the academic year in which you are registered.
For students registered in a Doctoral Degree, a certificate will only be issued if the
tuition fee and registration fee are paid at the moment of the request.
If you have a scholarship, or if you have applied to a scholarship, please send the proof to pos.graduacao@fc.up.pt.
