The FCUP offers a wide range of Master’s programmes, also known as post-graduate, specifically, master’s degrees. These programmes are specifically designed to meet the scientific and technological needs of modern society. The master’s degrees provide solid academic training in specific areas of science, technology and engineering. This training is carried out in conjunction with scientific research and is geared to meet current day business needs. The FCUP benefits from a wide range of international agreements with prestigious universities and can offer students the possibility of completing part of their master's studies at one of these institutions. | |
The Second university cycle is composed of 120 ECTS credits over a period of two academic years and includes:
- At least 50% of curricular coursework in the area of specialisation - A minimum of 35% of the credits dedicated to the preparation of either a) an original scientific thesis; b) a work project designed specifically to meet these requirements or; c) a professional traineeship and subsequent final report, in line with the goals outlined, and in accordance with the stipulations set down in the faculty regulations. |

Upon conclusion of the curricular component of the Master’s Programme, a “Second Cycle Specialisation Course” diploma will be issued. |
