This study cycle comprises 120 ECTS and is organized in two school (i.e., academic) years.
The 1st year encompasses a set of courses totaling 60 ECTS; students approved to this set will be entitled to apply for a Master Course Certificate (not awarding a degree).
The 2nd year comprises one 3 ECTS course on Molecular Regulation of Gene Expression, and either a Dissertation reporting original scientific research purposely conducted to this end, or a professional Internship and respective final report, in both cases corresponding to 57 ECTS.
Students approved to the full 120 ECTS of the study cycle, including the public defense of either the Dissertation or the Internship Report, will be awarded the Master (M. Sc.) degree in Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology.
The detailed study plan follows, and includes a table illustrating the planned offer for optional courses; this offer may change, after convenient approval by the Scientific Council of the Faculty.
